DECON-IT® is very effective for the decontamination of field equipment used for vapour, soil and groundwater monitoring and sampling at active investigation and remediation sites (i.e. Water Level Meter, Product Probes, Low-Flow Samplers, Hand-Held Vapour Meter, Direct-Push Probes, etc.). In addition to out-performing competing products, in terms of speed, cost, and efficacy, it is well suited for use in accordance with ASTM D5088-02 (2008) Standard Practice for Decontamination of Field Equipment Used at Waste Sites. It is also applicable for the ASTM D5608-10 Standard Practices for Decontamination of Field Equipment Used at Low Level Radioactive Waste Sites.
For storage tank and vessel cleaning, DECON-IT® is an operator’s choice; being non-flammable, pH neutral, non-corrosive, non-caustic, and its use does not generate additional PPE or HS&E precautions. Clients are pleased with the VOC reduction rates for tank entry, and how it expedites tank wall and tank-bottom sludge cleaning, while minimizing the volume of oily waste water generated. This results in significant time and cost savings, while bringing storage tanks back on-line, more quickly, for increased production capacity.
